2. Strong Economy

Backed by oil wealth, innovation, and sustainability, Norway boasts one of the strongest economies in Europe. The country’s job market remains resilient, even during global downturns.

3. English-Friendly Work Environment

While Norwegian is the official language, many workplaces—especially in IT, engineering, and academia—operate in English. This makes the transition smoother for foreign professionals.

Norway faces a growing demand for medical professionals due to an aging population and a shortage of domestic workers.

In-demand roles include:

For Non-EU Citizens

• You must secure a job offer before applying for a residence permit for work.
• Your employer usually helps with the permit process.
• Sectors with labor shortages may offer streamlined procedures.

Skilled Worker Permit
